On the seventh day He rested
And was well pleased;
But thousands of years later
He looked down and cried.

Man whom He so loved,
To who He gave free will,
Male and female
He had created them
That they may enjoy the richness
Of His work.

But hatred, in the company of Satan
Sought to destroy the beauty
And transform it into evil.

So now He wept at such destruction
Not only of the earth
But of human souls

And in His mercy reached out His hand,
That all who know His love
Would love one another,
And peace would conquer.
