Jesus spoke to His Apostle:
'This is My Commandment,
That ye love one another as I have loved you.'

EVIL VERSUS GOODNESS

Evil and goodness met in the street
One offered arms another feet
To the hapless victim who happened by
Terrified, prepared to die.

The frenzy of the crazy mob
Cowards by numbers prepared to rob
Embraced by evil they forgot their God
And started an attack with feet well shod.

Goodness was a single soul
Left home that night, just for a stroll
Heeded the cry of the evil prey
And guided
by goodness began to pray

Fell upon the prostate form
And held in its arms the victim forlorn
Ignored the blade that pierced its side
A cowards boot stood aside.

Evil fled in the face of good
Afraid to stay, misunderstood!
Cowards on the run, they left their prey
But the deed of goodness won the day

Greater love hath no man, than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends
