LONELY IN THE CITY

 Lonely in the city
Weeping in the park
Watching others laughing
Wanting you with all my heart.

Lonely in the city
Crying in the dark
Wanting you my darling
Wanting you with all my heart

I'm sorry that I walked out
Dreams are made for fools,
And the grass that's always greener
Someone else's tool.

I long for green horizons
Or the drought burnt stricken land
The sheep that now are lambing
The touch of your gentle hand.

Lonely in the City
Wishing away the dark
Dreaming of you darling
Wanting you with all my heart.
