PORTLAND & DIST. Conducted for the second year the Championship Dog Show drew 230 entries compared with 90 last year. For the Judging, the ring usually reserved for cattle was taken over and, with thc adjoining shed, proved much superior to the previous site. The judge was Mr. W. R. McLaughlan, Petersham, the chief steward,.Mr. R Page, and the Kennel Club representative, Mr. G. Lidden Entered by the Glendowning Kennels, Wagga a Collie Myoene Jenny Lee, was the Open Champion |

| Australia’s Top Pug Wins At Portland CH. AUREATE- CHINA SON, Australia's top winning Pug, again added a. best-in-show award to his long record of wins at Portland and District All Breeds Kennel Club's inaugural show. This, dog, owned by Mrs. G. Lord was produced in wonderful condition and spirit and was an all-the-way! winner. Runner-up was that promising Collie Myoene Jenny Lee, which was recently Best In Show at Leeton for Mr. and Mrs. R. Wooden of Wagga. This one was also best Junior and best Working Dog. ************* |
