INDEX POETRY TOMORROW"S DAWN
© Helen Catherine Cramer
'Tomorrow's Dawn', 1983, contains poems written, as a healing process, after the death of my 17 years old daughter. The result of a car accident. The poems, dated, have been written from the heart, with no attempt to improve on their literary merit. The book also contains many pages of prose, (book only and not on these pages) dealing with grief, and photos. Its sequel Day by Day was published in 1986

If I could change the path of life
I’d lock the door and hold you tight,
But everyone is born free
And in your youth you claimed that right.
To laugh with friends so dear to thee,
To wander far so oft from me.

Cathy - September 1980 - 16 years

Now for a while gone from sight
Gone from all who love her -
But gone no further than God -
And God is very near.
                                    Anon
She came to us
through prayer,
A child just on loan;
She left us in prayer
To return to our
Heavenly Father's home.
